Florida is an all year round destination. Northern Florida can be quite cool in the winter and the sea can be a bit too cold for swimming but is marvellous if you want to see manatees seeking warm water springs.
South Florida's high season runs from mid-December to mid-April as the weather is pleasantly warm.
The summer season brings humidity and mosquitos but if you don't mind that, then the summer can bring some cheap bargains. Another bonus at this time of year are the turtles who lay their eggs at this time of year. Hurricane season runs from June to November.
Disneyland and Orlando are excellent all year round although there can be heavy rainfall in the summer. |
