What to take to Florida
What to take to Florida will mainly depend on what time of the year you are visiting Florida and what part of Florida you are visiting.
Overall, a necessity in the summer months are suntan lotion, long but thin trousers and long sleeved shirts (preferably cotton) and insect repellent, unless of course, you love the little critters and don't mind being a food source. If you are travelling to the north of Florida during the winter months then you may need some slightly heavier clothing.
In addition to the above, it would be hard to visit Florida without wanting to swim with the dolphins or do some snorkelling, so swimming costumes are a must. If you want to take your own snorkelling equipment, then do. Alternatively you can always get it in Florida. Flip-flops and sandals are a must for when the sand heats up on the beach.
Clothing in general is casual but it doesn't hurt to take the odd fashionable item in case you want a night on the town.
Everyday toiletries and first-aid equipment are readily available and as clothing is inexpensive, be prepared to come back with more than you went with.
