Santa Rosa lies adjacent to Escambia County and Okaloosa County in Florida and Escambia County in Alabama. Santa Rosa County was created in 1842. It's name comes from Santa Rosa Island in Florida.
Santa Rosa County can be divided into three parts. South Santa Rosa, Central Santa Rosa and North Santa Rosa.
